There is a lot of benefits being a member of CILT. Firstly, as an international logistics and transport institute with lots of branches worldwide, CILT provides support professionally and personally throughout career progression. We can see lots of opportunities for education & training programmes from the website. Other benefits like.. we can meet like-minded people – young professionals like myself or senior people, mentors with rich experience in different aspects of the industry. We also have a few networks in the industry… There are also global events to know more people and get exposure.

Being a member of CILT has given me a lot of opportunities. I have been able to acquire knowledge and professional skills in current logistics, transport and supply chain issues. I also had the privilege of traveling round the world to attend International Conventions since 2014 to sharpen my logistics, transport and supply chain skills required for the job. I am a role model to the young members of CILT. I have been able to mentor some Young Professionals in Nigeria Universities and others who are already working. Being a Member of CILT has helped me to grow in my career ladder.

My being a member of CILT has broadened my horizon and knowledge in my scope of work by comparing work ethics within different environments and cultures. I have equally learnt more during paper presentations at the Africa Forum and the Conventions.

I have also had lots of network opportunities both local through activities of the branch, and international through the annual Africa Forum and Conventions, and this has resulted in affiliating my private companies to other global organisations directly and indirectly related to CILT.

I am the CEO and Co – Founder of a startup called Huduma+.

My Startup Huduma+ was recognised by the United Nations Global Compact as the first Communication logistics Infrastructure Innovation for Corporates/individuals operating in different parts of the World to seamlessly communicate. CILT is not only a professional organisation of logistics, supply chain and transport professionals, but it represents every tribe, religion, class and nationality, that makes up the beauty of CILT. So we take ownership of logistics, supply chain and transport and its future.
